When we celebrated Trans Comms’ 20th anniversary later last year in 2024, we wanted to reflect on two decades of dedication, innovation, and success in the AV, IT, Security and Data Centre industries – while saying a big ‘thank you’ to those who have helped and supported us along the way.
When we founded Trans Comms in 2004, we started from humble beginnings with just 40 engineers. The business has grown through building genuine, trusted relationships with our mentors, peers, project managers, engineers and other staff members – and, of course, our clients and partners; some of the world’s largest and most reputable global organisations.
From Grassroots
From the beginning, we had a clear vision: we wanted to build a company grounded in those strong relationships, one renowned for solving tough challenges where others couldn’t, and one with a reputation for technical excellence.
When we started Trans Comms, we were in our early twenties, and everything we’ve achieved has been learned from the ground up. Starting with smaller projects, we quickly earned a reputation for our problem-solving skills, innovative solutions, tenacity, reliability, and expertise.
Our course has changed significantly in our partnerships with significant clients, propelling Trans Comms into a big new growth phase. We work in cities spanning Dubai, Tel Aviv, and all over Europe. One critical early milestone was in 2011 when we were approached by an old contact who asked us to deliver two large floor plates in London for a large organisation in the Angel Building. We delivered the project successfully and still have a great working relationship to this day.
Overcoming Challenges
Business hasn’t been without its challenges. Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic posed unprecedented challenges, but we’ve demonstrated resilience and adaptability. We’ve been fortunate with how our relationships and partnerships have supported the business. For example, a few of our clients paid invoices early to support us during COVID-19, which showed us the strength of our relationship with them.
As we’ve grown, we’ve established a European entity – a critical move ensuring our operations remain smooth and compliant.
A Vision for the Future
Today, Trans Comms is busier than ever. Over the past 15 years, we’ve built teams of contractors across EMEA – many of whom are still with us. We’ve developed and built a software platform supporting our clients across various sectors from the start of a project. Not only are all our clients’ needs met on time and within budget, but some of our biggest clients have now adopted the platform.
With partners in 90% of our clients’ locations, we’re proud to say we have become the EMEA Infrastructure Services and AV Solutions partner of choice for some of the world’s leading organisations. Our Security division has grown to support our clients’ needs and continues to do so.
Looking ahead, we’re focused on expanding our team, strengthening our technological offerings, and expanding the business further. As we’ve grown as a business with our key clients, we’ve gone on a compliance journey to meet the company’s demands.
