Workplace Technology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Technology Specialist to enhance and maintain our digital workplace infrastructure. This role focuses on supporting and improving the technology solutions that employees use daily, ensuring a seamless, secure, and efficient work environment. You will be responsible for managing workplace IT systems, troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing collaboration tools, and implementing new technologies to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for workplace technologies, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Collaboration Tools: Manage and optimize digital collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.
  • Device & Endpoint Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT security policies, manage access controls, and support cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Identify opportunities to automate routine processes and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for IT solutions, software licenses, and hardware procurement.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, conduct training sessions, and provide IT best practices to employees.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in workplace IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other workplace productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with IT security principles, endpoint management, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide excellent customer support.
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Knowledge of remote work solutions, virtual desktops, and hybrid workplace technologies.
