Relocating existing IT rack infrastructure

Trans Comms was engaged to support a global corporate travel and meetings organisation with a workplace technology logistics requirement: relocating existing IT rack infrastructure from Marseille, France to Copenhagen, Denmark. The move formed part of an operational change programme where programme certainty and controlled handling were essential.

The client needed existing racks collected from a workplace site in Marseille (located across Floors 2 and 3) and delivered to a specified destination floor in Copenhagen. Their requirement centred on moving live or business-critical infrastructure with minimal risk and disruption.

Trans Comms proposed a dedicated vehicle solution across a defined three-day transport window in late January 2023. A dedicated vehicle approach reduced handling points and improved predictability, reducing risk of damage, uncontrolled storage, or schedule variance. The scope required practical coordination at both ends of the journey, with careful planning around access routes, lift availability, loading restrictions, and site rules. Trans Comms’ delivery experience was critical for aligning logistics timing with site constraints for a smooth and safe transit.

Through Trans Comms the client achieved their objective of controlled cross-border relocation within a defined timeframe, a reminder of our practical delivery strength in executing disciplined workplace technology moves across EMEA, at pace and with accountability.
